Since some of you will be curious….
It went quite well. :-)
Tirithien made dinner. (I made things like salad and dessert—like I’ve said, he’s a much better cook than I am!) My mom came over, and we all had a nice time. It went surprisingly well. Much conversation about many varied things.
I’m still not sure why I was so horribly nervous, and I’ll probably go through the same thing again when it’s time for him to meet my other family members, but at least now I know it’s a survivable event! Mom didn’t run away screaming, and Tirithien didn’t run away screaming after Mom left, so I think I’m okay. :-)
I guess next it will be his turn to be nerve-wracked when I meet HIS family!

Well, my friend BJ ran away screaming from my stepdad once when my stepdad came up to campus to give me a ride home for some break or another. Okay, he wasn't actually screaming, but he did run away. This is because my stepdad looks like a big scary Viking or a biker, and BJ was scared to be anywhere near the daughter of a guy who looked like that! :-P
So people running away screaming from my family members is not an unprecedented event.
hmmmm... Rule #1: never bring anyone you date home to momma, unless you plan on marrying him/her. or else moms realize how slutty we are.
Well, Mama came over here, instead of us going to her house. How does that count?
And since this is only my third real relationship ever.... I'm thinking I don't qualify under the Slut Clause. :-P

Why haven't you met his parents yet?
Various random circumstances, plus they seem to be quite a bit less social than my mom, who wants to be on friendly terms with all my friends. Nothing big. It will happen soon enough.
i'm not into meeting the parent thing... LOL i'm far from a traditionalist. But also i see my folks 1 time a year.
It's a little different when the parents live just a town over!
You know, if you re-read that, it sounds like you're calling my mom a parent-thing. If she sees that you're going to be grounded. :-P

Also you lied. You had 4 boyfriends. the first one being Dolphin Boy before Zombie tried to steal him away with her death-stare.

I'm using the definition of boyfriend which implies that there was sexual attraction involved. And with our dear Dolphin Boy, this was obviously not the case.
